Anyone buy the i7-8086K anniversary rumours? Sounds like a pre-binned 8700K, with the turbo already sitting at 5.1 GHz. I'm sceptical to say the least, considering the news comes from Wccftech, and even if it didn't, TweakTown isn't always that credible either. Intel's upcoming 50th anniversary is pretty big though, so I'm sure they have something in store for us.
Mighty chip! Keep us posted. :)

Just got done helping out @Trafficante with his custom water loop. A lot of work but we got there, he did a great job when you guys get too see it, now all hard tubing. It needs a 24 hour run in to get the air out of the tubes, cavitation.

I felt bad making him wait until today to help out but I knew this was a multi hour job.

    Does it work now?

And will the Apex work in that same configuration?

Just glad you are happy with it and hope you enjoy it in good health.

QUOTE="Johnksss, post: 10711898, member: 128218"]Does it work now?

It does not leak anymore. As far as the configuration it is custom for his install and water cooing so I doubt Apex products will work as a bolt on.

Edit; I have to note the people he had originally do this installed the reservoir improperly and at least one fitting was tightened down with foreign matter (lint threads) on the O ring surface to the casing. They should have been taken out and shot.

Ive been looking over the support sites for Asus, and MSI on their new x470 boards, and it seems Asus wont support Windows 7 with drivers, or they have not uploaded them yet. MSI has Win 7 drivers already listed. If this is the case, and a board upgrade shows a performance boost, then I will go with MSI once again.

The guy that did the new cooling system for him put some kind of garbage paste on it and did not do it correctly. I suggested that @Trafficante try repasting to see if that would help and lo and behold, that was the reason for the overheating problem. When he fixed that he noticed a leak from one of the reservoir fittings and a day or two later the other fitting started leaking. Tightening them did not stop the leak, so Brother @TANWare fixed things up for him.

Paste was the last thing i was thinking it was going to be. Glad that part was really that simple. Didn't really think you could mess that up with a water block considering how big they are and are usually 100% flat.

It was one of those wild guesses that couldn't hurt to check. I was surprised as well. Must have been some really junk thermal paste or he really botched the application. Or, maybe it was not tightened correctly and the water block was cocked up on one side and not making good contact with the CPU.

Dang! That looks really awesome. Too bad it won't work on the P870DM-G. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

@Ted@HIDevolution and @Donald@HIDevolution should start selling those as an upgrade kit. I bet they would sell like hotcakes. @Prema and @Johnksss have you guys already seen that? @bloodhawk I am looking forward to seeing how it works.

    @bloodhawk @Johnksss @Mr. Fox @Ted@HIDevolution and @Donald@HIDevolution

Don't waste your money and fall for that cheap knockoff!
The real thing (not made in China) is coming soon and it'll be a fully internal one piece P870xM solution (incl. pump), make use of all the available space and the best thing is...well that was already enough for me to break NDA just to save you from a huge disappointment... ;)

EDIT: I have no monetary or alternative reasons to say this. It is actually a much better product.

I don't trust anything from that site. Enquiring minds want to know BS. The leaked overclocking 2700x review is BS also. I think it's a TMZ sort of site, trying to grab clicks, and headlines.

On another note, I have a 240mm radiator on it's way, a long with one of those "naut" thermal pastes, but any suggestions for the art work hanging off the back of my case now for 3 months? I could never find a way to route tubes that looked right.

This is in anticipation of 7nm. I knew this had to happen, did not see it coming this early though. I am sure they are hoping on process to actually go beyond 5 GHz so they can stay on top by then as well.

I just got a Cyberpower 1500va UPS. glad to finally be protected as I already 2 times got hit by power outages since built. Overall under normal use everything just uses 190 watts. That is monitor 3440x1440, Klipsch sound, computer, USB 3.0 drive bay and USB 3.0 hub
