I found out that the dual 2687Wv4 (2x 12-core Broadwell) workstation in my lab has an external ICS 9ZX21901CKLF PLL. In the past before the intel 6 series chipsets notebook users would overclock all the time using tools like setfsb, clockgen, and cpufsb by programming the PLL through SMBus commands. I am hoping to do the same with this workstation. This system runs simulations for days all the time, so getting it running faster would help me graduate faster.

Here's a link to the PLL datasheet:

Unfortunately the SMBus tables are not very descriptive, so I was wondering if anyone knew what I should try. The datasheet does describe a 133 MHz hardware strap, but I do not want to hardmod this system and a 33% overclock is very likely too much. I remember in the past Dufus has figured out the SMBus tables for an old 45nm C2D overclock, so I was hoping maybe Dufus or someone else had ideas on what to try.

The workstation currently has Linux on it, but I can get Windows on an extra HDD for testing.
