I recently got an amazing deal on an RTX 2080. The pre-built PC I built came with a Cooler Master 600W PSU, which is probably adequate for the new GPU, but I'd like to get a new one with a bit more headroom. I'm not overclocking, matter of fact I've actually undervolted the new GPU. Newegg is running a sale on some EVGA power supplies, and I'm considering either the 750 GQ or the SuperNova 850 G2. Naturally, the PSU is not something you want to skimp on, but I also don't want to spend more than necessary. I'm also open to suggestions from other brands.

Got the same response on reddit, so I went ahead and ordered one.iunlock likes this. -
Nice... the 850 G2 is the golden child... has better internals than the newer G series.saturnotaku likes this.

You won't be disappointed, I had an 850 G2 and it was an excellent PSU.saturnotaku likes this.

I've been really liking it so far. It's been super quiet even under load, and it's much easier to cable manage than the non-modular stock PSU that came with the computer.iunlock likes this. -

Little late but a bigger PS is always better get a Brand name with good rating and you can have future expansion without problems. But if you got SLI then consider at least close to 1200watts PS. Never cheap out on a PS otherwise one will be sorry in the end when push comes to Power needs.
PSU recommendation?
