Ever since my old biostar motherboard that had the built in CIR, turning my computer on with a remote is the only way to go. But there are very few motherboards that have that feature.

With this product you can do it with any motherboard, it will even power it on after power loss, which the built in CIR headers wont do. If you use it to shut the PC down, and there is a hangup in windows then it will do a hard shutdown after 60 seconds.

Just figured I would post this for anyone else interested in doing it, its the only way to go in my opinion.
