I figured the computer would come with a 2.5" drive, but to my surprise it was a big ol 3.5". Anyway I'm swapping it out for an SSD, but the enclosure clips into place and slides into the SATA/power ports (no cables). So I need an adapter that aligns the 2.5" correctly into a 3.5" and I'm not sure which one to get. Anyone know for sure? Amazon prime would be much preferred, but if not I'll have to wait!

Most I've seen align the 2.5" drive in the center which I'm pretty sure is not correct.

Amazon, Newegg, TigerDirect, etc. all sell 2.5"-to-3.5" adapters. It's just a hunk of plastic or metal, so get whatever's the least expensive.

The position of the 2.5" drive in the adapter doesn't really matter. Since you're connecting it to the rest of the computer via cables and not a slot (as in a laptop), it's not such a big deal.

Unless I'm mistaken, you should also be able to tape the SSD to the side if you don't want to buy the mounts because it does not have any moving parts so it should not affect anything.

Taping is a solution, though not as elegant imo.

Tape, as in Velcro? I've done that. Worked fine.

Yep, I've used velcro for things numerous times. Works like a charm.
