Really want to know what are safe temps for VRM. I searched around the net a bit and some say it's 100C, some 125C. Would really want to know which one is the correct one. I'm toying with my GTX970 Strix a bit and with following overclock I'm getting 97C.

So far only did Furmark, no real gaming benches, so temps could probably differ a bit. Gonna play me some Witcher 3 later this evening.

CptXabaras Overclocked, Overvolted, Liquid Cooled
Just a piece of advice. Don't use furmark... unnecessary stress on the components.
As far as the witcher 3 (i'm on my second gameplay, already beated once) it is a really good game to test for temperatures. At 2560x1440 it is quite hard on hardware.. beside that and a little OT, just finished reading the 7 books.. amazing story perfectly blended with the games.TBoneSan and killkenny1 like this. -
I would say you're safe if thats your max while running Furmark, but yes as CptXabaras said I also avoid Furmark.
For reference with a 1400mhz overclock on my Asus Strix 970 I am seeing around 90C. I would say you're in the ballpark as we probably have different ambient and case temps etc.
Also download GPU TweakII I found it to be more stable and you can set the power limit to 120%killkenny1 likes this. -

), wanted to see what kind of temps I would get if for some reason something would max out my hardware (same reason I used Prime 95).
Afterwards I played The Witcher 3, GTA Online, and Tomb Raider 2013, and I had 92C max.
Without overclock it would max out at around 87C while gaming.
