Is it a smart move to add a second GPU to output to a second LCD? I have dual 3440x1440 displays. One is a G-sync Acer Predator X34 hooked up to a 980 Ti. I have some issues getting G-sync working properly if I hook up a second non G-sync display. Second display will be only for desktop work and no gaming. So I was considering hooking up a second GPU just to display desktop / video stuff on the second display. Is this fairly simple to set up? Or am I asking too much?

    Something like a GTX 950.

Can you just use CPU's iGP... Oh wait, never mind...

Anyway, don't you have some old GPU laying around somewhere? Why won't you pop it in and see how it goes and then take it from there.

Nope. Got rid of most stuff in my move. But I'm sure I could find something.

@HTWingNut you can grab a USB 3.0 to HDMI dongle if you want it reusable.
