Hi Guys,
Looking for a compact but good keyboard. Not wanting to spend too much.. Is there an RGB version particularly? Cherry MX Red Keys preferred...

Look up Ducky, they're a respectable brand. They're not the cheapest tho, so that might be a problem.

Is Corsair K65 any good?

A buddy of mine owns the K70 and is very happy about it, so I guess the K65 should be good aswel. The RGB version is pretty pricey tho, so keep that in mind.
If I was to buy a TKL keyboard I'd probably buy the Logitech G410, since I'm loving my current G810. -
what's your budget?
dang, Best Buy had the Corsair Strafe RGB with MX Silent switches on sale for only $85, but the deal just ended. they also had the Strafe RGB with brown switches for $80 3 days ago. it's a full sized keyboard, but not as big as some of the other gaming ones. maybe it'll pop up for sale again or try hitting up a MicroCenter if u have one near u.
EDIT: not sure how good the Monoprice mechanical KB's are, but they have them on sale for only $40. a couple of guys on Slickdeals said they're not bad: http://slickdeals.net/f/9028527-mon...ee-shipping?src=SiteSearchV2_SearchBarV2Algo1 -
I'm in the UK but will have a look at that Corsair you recommended

i absolutely love my Strafe RGB Silent. i hate all that noise that mechanical keyboards make and this one is very silent. it's been lovely typing on it for the past few months and the customization of the RGB's are just plain awesome.TomJGX likes this.

good luck. i'm not sure how it works over there, but i notice that u guys are charged alot more for electronics for some reason.
i'll post up deals, just in case, when i see them pop up again. -
Please do, that would be great! I'm really liking it but struggling to get it at a reasonable price..

Best Buy has the Strafe RGB with MX Reds for $74.99:

OP is in the UK so that's not going to work. Too bad, because I have a Corsair K65 RGB that I'm not using. The shipping would probably make it cost prohibitive. -
The K65 wouldn't work, UK price is about the same as the strafe silent so I would get that lol... And yes shipping and customs will be absurd...
Got a Corsair Strafe RGB for £129.99, its still sealed as the Dell keyboard from work isn't too bad and I have like 5 more mins on the desktop till I go away for work till Thursday

I'd have sold you the K65 for well under that even with shipping.

Customs charge would be the problem and I've had enough with customs.. Took all the way from Sunday to Friday to go through Customs etc and reach the local depot...

What games do you play?
There are two main different types of compactness.
tkl (basically no number pad)
60%
If you don't need the f keys, 60% is perfect between functionality and portable.
Another main thing to look for is the switch.
They are the essential parts of the keyboard.
Choose wisely.
Black is generally considered better for fps.
Blue and brown are between for rts.
Red is sort of weird black. It's a really love or hate it switch type.
Personally I owned three mechs and I love mx clear the most but it isn't easy to find.
Look around massdrop, they have good offers from time to time
