So, a couple of days ago I build my new desktop. Absolutely been loving it so far (980Ti + 144hz is ****ing awesome), however Windows can't detect my HDD. In the BIOS and HWMonitor my HDD shows up tho, which is pretty weird. It's a Seagate 2TB 7200RPM HDD.

- Open the Disk Management console. ...
- Right-click the unallocated volume.
- Choose New Simple Volume from the shortcut menu. ...
- Click the Next button.
- Set the size of the new volume by using the Simple Volume Size in MB text box.

Then you will need to open command prompt as admin
type diskpart then hit enter
type list disk then hit enter
note the number of the HDD in question
type select disk X then hit enter (where X is the number of the disk)
type clean then hit enter
now open disk management and initialize the disk as GPT when asked
then create a new partition
