Hi I have decided to move away from the X99 platform. I had the 5820K but I want something lighter so Im selling all my X99 stuff and starting an entirely new build. Im going build on the Z170, possibly Z270 chipset with Kaby Lake whenever it finally releases. Im having trouble finding a Z170 (or soon released Z270) mini ITX with at least 2 M.2 (NVMe and WiFi), if not dual NVME and a M.2. I have my own WiFi card. And I would prefer to have 4 DIMM slots but 2 will work. I also need help finding a slim PC case to hold a mini itx mobo. Im looking for something similar to Fractal Design Node 202. Can I please get some help and results? Just put down the names of the items so I can make a note of it later. BTW I live in the u.s so yall can help. Thank you in advance!

I think I saw something from EVGA as well, but I don't have a product list yet.

Asus seem to have the biggest range available at release from the looks of it!

I don't NEED it per say but would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it...If you know what I mean. I wonder If you could crossfire AMD gpu's with an external enclosure with the dgpu on pci-e?

I just bought my first Asus board, the "entry " Z270 board and I'm really impressed, I'm finding the software quite handy for overclocking and fan control.

I have used two of these boards and they have been very reliable.

Either way you should be fine.

Asus's software is good but for the 1st time, I'm doing BIOS Ocing as their BIOS layout makes sense with some explanations of what the settings do... Fan Control software is good and I do use that here!

Yea I realize it would be only pci-e 3.0 X4 speeds through thunderboltt 3. Just a curiosity more than anything!

Yeah, if you've got some sort of external sli/crossfire housing (do those exist? can you do that off-board?) then it should at least connect. But a more traditional setup would be less expensive too

I'm talking about crossfiring the external one with the internal one in like a mini itx build. There lots of these external enclosures now for laptops and such that work over TB3 . Crossfire only requires x4 3.0 pci-e. I don't see this being a problem as the cards communicate over the pci-e using xdma. But unforeseen complication with drivers and such might arise.

Agreed, it's likely no one on the manufacturing/development side considered a setup like that so there's no framework or support for it.
