    Hi everyone,
I have a 2014 Alienware 17 laptop with a mediocre M gpu inside. I bought the laptop mainly for some light on the go gaming and college use. I was wondering, is there a eGPU solution for this laptop? I'm pretty tech savvy and dont mind digging into the internals of the laptop.
I tried searching a lot but damn google only spits up the new graphics amp with the external gpu keywords.

If I were to get this:
    http://www.banggood.com/EXP-GDC-Laptop-External-PCI-E-Graphics-Card-p-934367.html

And then hook up say a gtx 970, or 980 along with a PSU via a mpcie under the laptop. Will I be able to run it on the alienware 17?

    Would appreciate the help, Thanks!

You can pack in a GTX 980m, or use an eGPU setup, with mpcie, but then you need a workaround for the wifi, because thats the only slot for add-on cards.

The 980m would cost me well over 1000$ which is pointless. (I would buy a gtx titan x for that much)
My question really was, is that alienware capable of running a egpu with the dock i mentioned above if i use it in place of the wifi? What capacity of performance would i get? 70%? 80%?
