My setup: Sony Vaio vgn-fw139e laptop
    windows vista
    intel core 2 duo @ 2.4 ghz
    3.0gb RAM
ATI mobility radeon 3400 series built-in

I am trying to get my egpu setup with a Ati radeon 6770 running on my external display.

So it boots and drivers are found and no errors. Wouldnt boot at first. I fixed the allocation issue (code12) by removing 1gb of ram. Now I'm stuck trying to get it to boot using the eGPU No option in bios to disable integrated gpu. Disabled in device manager and still automatically uses integrated gpu plus the stock LCD display. Please any help would be much appreciated. I'm so close but so far. Lol. Excuse my noobness. Any help would be much appreciated.

are you using setup 1.x to disable the dGPU?

and can you get to desktop showing the 6770 in device manager?

I have tried that but it doesn't work. I just returned the ati card for an nvidia card and it worked first try without disabling anything just switched monitors in screen res settings using win 7. It had to be a problem with twi ati cards coexisting in the same system. I had to reduce to 2gb of ram tho. Code 12 with 3gb installed. I've tried the pci compaction but I can never get it to boot. Always get bsod. I can tell windows loads tho because I hear the startup sounds. Just no display. Can anyone help with that. The dsdt override seems to complex for me.
