I have an old micro ATX case laying around that I would like to use as an enclosure for my future eGPU build. One question that I had was if it is possible to connect the ATX Power Switch (SWEX) to the power button on a PC case? Ideally, I would like to turn on my eGPU with the press of a bottom, rather than have to dig around behind the case to plug the cable in.

I have not been able to find a definitive answer to this while reading through the DIY eGPU thread -- I found posts by pyr0 and omniferum that almost answered my question. Seen here:

On the HWtools site, it appears the SWEX has regular old headers to hook-up a PC case switch. Seen here:

SWEX (ATX Power Supply Power-On Switch)

Here is a slightly different version of the SWEX on the HWtools site. I think it has headers as well (somewhat difficult to tell in the picture). Seen here:

However, it is very unclear on the HIT website whether or not the SWEX has headers for a switch. Seen here:

    http://www.harmonicinversion.com/products/manufacturer/hit.html?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage-ask.tpl&product_id=197&category_id=25

I sent HIT an email asking about a month ago, but I haven't received a response. Obviously, I would rather order my PE4L from HIT to avoid the expensive shipping costs.

Can anyone confirm if the HIT model has headers for a PC case button? And if so, will they work with a PC case button? Is there some other solution I'm missing that would accomplish the same thing (I'm definitely comfortable cutting/splicing some wires and soldering)

Thanks in advance for the help!
