I want to put an eGPU together again, and I'm looking at a cheap pe4h v2.4. The HDMI 1 port is broken off though. Does it matter which hdmi port I use to connect to the expresscard?
Tried not to create another thread here, but I couldn't get an answer in the main thread..
Thanks!

Doesn't the seller know anything about it?
Or you could try asking HWTools, if they are willing to help. -
The ad says he doesn't know if it works or not. I assume if he tested it and it worked he would raise the price so I decided to see if someone here could swap ports and see if it still works or not.

I don't have a PE4H anymore.
Maybe make more precise your question on the main thread too. From what you had written there I had understood that you were looking for some other with a broken port, which isn't very likely. But for sure someone will be able to swap the cable from one port to another.

ah, alright. I'll clarify in that thread to see if it helps. Thanks

If nobody still answers, there's still HWTools who should know. If not them, who else?

Support from HWTools wasn't any help. He didn't quite understand what I was asking even though I've explained it several times. He just kept saying that the PE4X doesn't support HDMI cables..
Either way, on Tech Inferno a user pointed out the schematics for it show that only lane 1 has the additional clock and power settings sent to it.. Oh well. I'll let the seller know, and continue my search for a cheap-ish adapter.. On a good note, I scored a practically new GTX650 (2GB GDDR5) for $75 shipped. My PSU (+12V@38A) is sitting here waiting too.
Does It Matter Which HDMI Port on PE4H v2.4?
