    Hi everyone,

I want to get an eGPU for my laptop (lenovo X220, i5 2.3GHz 8Gb RAM ). I was reading the thread dedicated to the DIY option, but I do not feel capable for that enterprise.

So i decided to get just the Vidock system. I found an old Vidock 2 system for 99 Euros, It look to me a nice price, but I can only use cards without the extra 6 pins power connections, not really a problem because I am not playing to very demanding or new games.

After some research I have narrowed my option to this two cards: Zotac 450 GTS eco and ATI 7750.

Everyone talks really nice about that ATI model but at the same time in the DIY thread recommend nvidia cards with the Fermi architecture and Optimus system for my CPU model (the Zotac have that architecture) price is quite similar. So, which one of these cards do you think will performance better in my computer?

    Thanks,

    Alfonso

    Hey,

The nVidia card will allow you to run the game in the internal screen, and give you much better performance with optimus technology. I would definitely go for the 450.
