Hello everyone,
This is my first post; I have decided to join the forum as it seemed the most resourceful place for eGPU configurations and I am willing to make one myself as well.
What I have in hand:
-I have a Asus GTX 660 Direct CU II Graphics Card
-I have an External Monitor at 1444x900 resolution
-I have an external PSU at 500W
-I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E430 notebook which has:
3rd Generation Intel® Core i5-3210M 3.10 GHZ 3MB Cache
Socket 988B rPGA Ivy Bridge
2x4 GB (8GB) 1600 Mhz RAM
Intel HD 4000 iGPU
320GB 7200 RPM HDD
Nvidia 610M GPU
So by looking at these specs and stuff at the info page I was kind of lost in the details. I would appreciate it if someone could give info on the following:
1) If it is possible to run DIY eGPU on this notebook with this GPU
2) Link speed that it can be run at
3) Estimated percentage of the GPU I can put to use through this method (Like all of it as in desktop or like 70% or whatever)
4) What do I exactly need to make it work?
I will do my best to provide more info if necessary!
Thanks in advance.
