    Hello!
Just bought a TH05 and wants to use it with my macbook pro 15" late 2011.
But I would like a guide or "How to", tested it for a couple of minutes yesterday but could get it to boot past the "black screen".
So what shall I do? what is the right way to go?

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I'm planning to switch to the new macbook 13" retina with the TH05 combo and 680 GTX, but it seems like alot of people have found it unsuccessful due to various problems. From what I understand the current problem is some sort of error 12, has anyone tried this or more specifically this to fix the problem?

I'd really like to switch to a smaller notebook for university but I'd still like to game once in a while but alot of people seem to have no success, should I just stray away from this? Also if I were to go down this route would the TH05 be the best option? Do I need anything else for the eGPU process to work? I apologize ahead of time for the questions.

as stated before eGPU setup fails. there seems to be a problem with memory management which results in system hang. diagnostics have been send to the developers.

the blog you posted says he can see the devices but theres no image showing his eGPU running. also check his newest blog entry.

I'm currently getting the black screen problem. What was the fix? Is everyone booting into Win8 64bit through EFI?

Whenever I get past those circulating four dots on the Windows loading screen, it goes all black... Any idea?

For reference: MacBook Air, TH05, 670GTX, HD4000 file deleted, I boot into windows using default VGA driver

    Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone get the soundcard to work as well?
