I tried to ask questions about why the information on the techinferno diy egpu setup 1.30 site was dated and if there were open source solutions for disabling the dgpu instead of pay $25 for his toolkit and they deleted my threads. So I'm hoping someone here can help

    Hardware:
    nvidia gtx550 ti
    pe4h ec2c expresscard
    xclio goodpower 500w psu
    hp probook 4530s
2gb ram (pulled out the 8 to make sure it would work)

Whenever the card is plugged in and running, no matter how I start it or when I add it to the system, windows starts to hang down to an absolute crawl. I'm talking like, the windows logo loads at about 1fps or slower and when in windows the mouse responds with a 10 second delay.

    It never detects the hardware.

I tried it with an old nvidia x1300 and it worked fine. Any ideas how to troubleshoot from here? Because nothing like this was covered in the faqs.
