    Hi guys,

I just got my eGPU set up last week. I have terrible performance in Simbin's GTR2 from 2006. My specs:
    Lenovo Thinkpad T500
    W7 Pro x64
    Core 2 Duo 2.53 ghz
    2 gb Ram DDR3
    Intel 4500 mhd
*broken Mobility Radeon 3650, formerly my laptop had switchable graphics

    eGPU
    Sapphire Radeon 7770
    PE4L v2.1 (express card adapter)
    Corsair CX430M PSU (430w)
    Latest AMD drivers

So the eGPU can display to my external monitor, and 1920x1200 performance in games such as Bioshock 2, Starcraft 2, and Mass Effect 3, is decent. Occasionally there may be a hiccup, but I would say these games are playable.

However, in Simbin's GTR2, a DX9 game, my garbage Intel integrated card is outperforming the 7770. GTR2 is a racing game, and whenever racing with multiple cars, fps dips to 5-10. If I use integrated graphics, I can get 25-30 fps. Because decreasing details/resolution/antialiasing seems to show no improvement with the 7770, I am wondering if somehow the eGPU setup is eating up CPU resources and creating a bottleneck there. Anybody have any clue what is going on?

This is super frustrating for me as GTR2 is my main game and I am trying to join its online community.

    Thanks for your help
