I have a few questions before buying a DIY eGPU setup for my aging Lenovo G460 (2010 model). It has an i3 Arrandale chipset with 4gb RAM, BIOS version 1.06 (didn't bother updating BIOS since I previously had no reason to really mess with it), it has a express slot for the EC2C. I wanna slap a GTX460 on it.
I'm planning to purchase the parts from HWtools and was wondering if anyone could help me choose between PE4L + EC2C or PE4H.v.2.4 + EC2C.
Secondly, I read the stickied topic and I smelled my brain burning. anyway I'm asking if anyone can tell me/point me to a topic on how to set up the PCI-e ports to optimize my build. (preferably in a way that a person with no computer education would understand)
A lot of thanks!
Oh and here is a picture of mem by connection

you've got a TOLUD of 3GB, it may or may not inhibit setup of the eGPU. If you can, get the parts from HIT so you also get the setup 1.x software together.

Thanks for the reply, I think I'll by from HIT then. I'll contact them first and see if they can ship oversees to where i am (Philippines). I worry that after spending a couple of hundred dollars for a product that won't work due to my laptop being too old for good performance.
EDIT: I already ordered my gfx card so there's no turning back now, but I have yet to purchase the adapter as I got confused after hours of reading multiple pages and threads.
Should I get the PE4L or the PE4H? here are my expresscard version is 2.0 as seen in aida64, and I read somewhere that PE4h 2.4a does not support expresscard 2.0...
