I have recently purchased a used Lenovo Thinkpad SL410 and the PE4L-EC2C (version 1.5a) and put the two together with an Nvidia GeForce 210. There seem to be two things worth noting when i turned it on. Firstly, When i turn it on with the eGPU setup plugged in it will go through the post and bios initialization, and then just hang not being able to read any of the boot mediums (hard drive, CD drive, USB drive, et al.). On the other hand when i boot it up and allow for the Integrated graphics card to initialize before plugging the eGPU in, the eGPU is read by the system and windows. The second point worth noting is the infamous Error 12 that i get for having a system with 4 Gigabytes of ram. I had tried a solution that was listed only to receive some relatively stupid errors. After trying that in vein for several hours i decided to shell out the $25 for the DIY eGPU Setup software (which i am beginning to regret) and i failed to get that to work. This was all a month ago so any of the logs or other diagnostics i may have acquired are either non-existent or memory. The biggest point here is when i boot up with it plugged in it does not read the boot mediums. Is that a common problem with Lenovo laptops, or am i doing something wrong?
