Hi! I need some help/advice regarding eGPU's, the correct components and if the setup would be compatible with my system:
    ASUS A53SV
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz (Intel HM65 chipset)
    4GB of RAM
    Integrated HD3000 and Nvidia GT540m
    Win7 64bit
I don't have an ExpressCard slot so my only option would be a mini-PCIe slot. I used AIDA64 to check my PCI Express controllers pcie slots.JPG and by removing the back panel the only accessible mini-PCIe was occupied by the wireless card (not really sure since this is my first time opening up a laptop, it's been only about 6 months since I started using a laptop, had a desktop all this time). It means that I would have to remove my wireless card first to use an eGPU right? But what about that empty port #1?
And I have a single USB 3.0 port, can it be used in any way?

Any suggestions what would work the best with my system?

I have another pic with my graphics cards and I'm a bit confused about my Nvidia GT540m BUS type: PCI Express 2.0 x16?
