    Hi guys,

I'm new to e-gpu and would like to request for assistance or advice on which adapter I should buy. I have an HP Elitebook 8440p with the following specs:

    Intel Core i5 M540 2.53GHz
    4GB RAM DDR3
    Intel GMA HD (1st gen)

I think my laptop does not support expresscard 2.0 but I'm not sure.

Should I get the PE4H or PE4L? Are there specific versions of them that I need to get? And I would like to get one that is compatible with not having an external monitor.

By the way I just plan to put a mid range card like Radeon 5770/6770 to GTX 460

    Thanks guys!

Hi Im no expert in eGPU, but i'll try to answer :)
I work with the 8440 every day, but i have not tried to run a eGPU on it.
If you are going to take a shot at it, i would recomend PE4H, simply because i have tried eGPU on a newer model of the computer, and it works.
Remember to buy a powerful enough PSU and do a bios, chipset and firmware update, as all of these has bitten me in the a**

You can get updates for the computer here

    You get the PE4H here

    God luck!
