Hey there,
This is my first time building my own eGPU and I'm not quite sure how to hook up the power supply to the video card.
I've connected the molex to the PE4H, but do I also need to connect a power supply directly from the ATX (I've got a corsair CX430) directly to the video card(a GTX 560ti)?
Here's a picture of my stupidity:

According to google it requires 2 6 pin connectors to run.
One on the left is the correct cable, one on the right is to use 2 molex plugs to power it.
According to google your PSU has 1 6+2pin PCI-E cable, so you would have to use a molex to PCI-E cable to power the other one.

So, is there a big benefit to building your own GPU other than being able to say I built it? Can you take the GTX560 and turn it into a bridge between a 570 and 580 capability wise?

Thanks Jasp! So when I'm connecting it to my PSU, should I make sure the yellow or the red cables line up on the molex? The molex power cables on the corsair seem to have 4 pins, but the 6-pin to molex splitter has heads that have three pins (the same as in the picture you showed me).
As to jmiller, I have no idea. -

Nevermind, I figured it out. Thanks for the help!
I'll post a little guide in a day or so based on what I did, just in case any other hardware illiterate are trying to build their own eGPU.
