    SATA to Mini PCI-e adapter ?

    no those are purely for running msata SSD's, for PEL's you need an actual motherboard mPCIE slot tied straight to the PCIE controller.

    I thought it could work as the specifications indicate "Fully compliant with SATA revision 2.6, with Standard 3.3 Volt Mini PCI-e SSD(mSATA Module) support Mini PCI-e 52 pin Connector"...

    yep, its the same connector since mSATA and mPCIE use the same connector but use different pins and interfaces.

    for example it allows laptops with internal connectors to have one port that can do both jobs such as my Lenovo X230 and Precision m6800. I can install an mPCIE WWAN cellular card, another wifi card OR an mSATA SSD.

    however you can not go from mPCIE --> SATA and then back to mPCIE.

    the ( mSATA Module ) in the description gives it away

    I think u can try run wifi on the sata slot and why not, some usbs?
