    Hello,
I have bought a PE4H and a HD 4850 512 MB graphics card and immediately connected it to my Sony Vaio VGN-FW51ZF.
    The specs are:
    Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 2,8 GHz
    ATi Radeon HD 4650 DDR3 1 GB
I installed the most recent driver and was ready to go. I wanted to test the performance, so I startet MW3 and just cranked up the video settings. Unfortunately, I had to realize that the performance is even worse than the one the HD 4650 delivered (20 FPS vs 15 FPS).
I also found out that while looking in the air or at the ground, the framerate increases to 90 FPS. I guess it's because of the PCIe x1 slot having low bandwidth.
I read there are modded drivers that compress the video signal to get a performance increase without significant quality loss. I have googled often, but could not find any (except some information about DNA drivers without download links).
Can anyone tell me if this is normal? What exactly is the USB from the PE4H for?
Thank you very much in advance,
    Greets

P.S. Sorry for my english, I'm german ;)

The newest drivers are total crap. I suggest you try catalyst 12.6 or an older one.
With 12.6 I get 45 fps in skyrim in 1 spot and then I get 7fps IN THE SAME EXACT SPOT when I load the save game and don't move the mouse with 13.2-13.4 or 13.1-13.3. A similar thing happens in other games. I tried simply uninstalling the drivers and installing another one, then i tried driversweeper and got the same result. But as soon as I reinstall 12.6 it's all fine.

I guess AMD finally found out about vidocks and decided to ninja-sabotage them...

This thing reminds me of a ridiculous bug when you'd get like 3 fps in King's Bounty with 11.x or 12.x something with crapalyst AI enabled on a 5870M Seriously ATI??? .... ok enough ranting i could go on and on about crappy ati drivers....
