    Hello all.
I am a noob around here. I have purchased PE4C V2.1 adapter and nVidia Quadro K620 graphic card. I have Lenovo ThinkPad T410. I have been following tutorials on YouTube how to set up eGPU, and to every tutorial graphic card is always detected, but not mine. In Device Manager I cannot find my graphic card.

I conncet eGPU with the ExpressCard, and graphic card runs cooling fan while connected with the laptop, but it simply doesnt detect. When I plug ExpressCard there is no sound made, like it is made when some USB has been plugged in.
I have also tried on live boot on Ubuntu could there graphic card be recognized or not, and there also negative.

Do you maybe know what could it be a problem?

Coming from a noob, I'll ask you some noob questions.

Is the graphics card firmly secure in the PE4c adapter?

Is the express card hdmi cable firmly connected to the pe4c adapter?

( I don't remember doing anything special in the bios and didn't need egpu setup)

If you look on the unit you will see two switches, on mine they're both set to "1".

Another noob question, all appropriate power cables plugged in?

Used a lenovo t510 with plug and play usability . I simply connected a xfx 7900 to a pe4c, into a 700 w psu. Straight into the express card slot. Inserted before the computer starts , once the computer attempts to install drivers for it , I cancel and install downloaded drivers for it. Restart, and disable the laptops gpu, which then defaults to the xfx.

Not sure why it's not working for you

    yes

yes, not through hdmi but i have dvi-i, i will have to try with the hdmi, where i could get somewhere a monitor with hdmi

Which unit do you talk about?

yes, quadro k620 doesnt need any extra power supply, i used, the default power supply, that i got together with the PE4C.

My problem is that computer doesnt attempts to install drivers for it. When i connect everything, (the power supply, monitor, and express card) and turn it on fan of the graphic cards starts working, but nothing more than that happens.

I doubt the problem could be monitor connection. I connect DVI adapter, and convert it with to the wga, becuase i have wga monitor, this might make a problem.
Could you please check, if monitor is not connected, would your graphic card be detected? But you have drivers installed already. At the time i dont have a chance to connect it directly to some DVI or hdmi monitor. But wouldnt it suppose to work even if monitor is not connected?

I was attempting to install nvidia drivers but then it says that not graphic cards is detected.
I have Thinkpad T410, and i dont have a default graphic card to be disabled, only Intel(R) HD Graphic, that is integrated with the mother board.

Also, i have checked if the graphic card works, and i putted it on some other PC and there i also could not see it in the device manager, nor anything was prompted to install by it self, but then i just putted drivers by my own, and then graphic card was detected, and fully working.

Hmm. The graphics card is still detected even if not connected to a monitor. If it's not even detecting it could be an issue with your graphics card, or even the expresscard hdmi cable, maybe even the unit though less likely. but you said you tried it in another system so I would doubt that.. And the unit I'm talking about is the pe4c, there are two little small switches. Both which I have no idea what they're used for, but since my set up is working and I have a somewhat similar set up to yours, both of them are set at "1".

I don't really know much about this but I just thought I would help because sometimes it can be hard to get a reply around here
