Just wanted to post this here for fellow EGPU users. I wanted to give my kid a steam account, and I wanted to use my computer back. We had an old Toshiba Qosimo in the house and I figured I'd try to put a egpu on it. I upgraded to the latest v.290 (from 2010 LOL) I took the egpu set up I was using and used the expresscard version and set it up. I got the infamous code 12 error and dreaded the DSDT override. I went toTechnoinferno, and started to read, and read (ahhhhh) it looked realllll complicated. I'm no tech guy. I searched the web and found this site:

    https://cgc.com.kw/dsdt-override/

Using the method described on this site it took less than 5 minutes and I was done. It uses an all in one program, and best of all its free. I hooked my GTX 970 and no more code 12. The card and external screen jumped to life. The Steam account is up on the kid is off and running.
