    Hello everyone,

I have a Toshiba Qosmio x775 q7272 with a overheated and burnt video card. It is too costly to replace the card because there is no authorized reseller for that model in my country of residence and according to what a repairman said the GPU's socket is somewhat problematic.

So I am looking into getting an eGPU. Would the performance of a desktop CPU exceed the performance of my previous on board graphics card GTX 560m? How much cost am I looking into? And do I need a PSU because I saw someone connecting the card through an adapter without a PSU?

    Thanks and best regards.
