    Hi there,

I have a 2011 laptop which only supports a single external monitor. But I want to run a total of 3 screens: 2 external screens and the laptop's screen. So I'm thinking of getting the EXP GDC Beast Laptop External Independent Video Card Dock (v8) with a (silent) nVidia GPU (probably one based on the GeForce GT 730 GPU).

The end goal is to have my laptop's Intel HD Graphics run the laptop's internal screen and a single external monitor. I want the nVidia eGPU to run a third screen. Could this work? I've heard some people say that laptops don't like running with two GPUs enabled.

An added complication is that I want to do this on Ubuntu Linux 15.10 :)
