Does your laptop have an express card slot? Or are you planning on using the m-pcie port?

heres all my info

I do have a express card but do you know if I have 2.0 or 1.0? I know it states 2.0 in the info but Ive been reading all the guides and apparently only sandy/ivy bridge laptops have express card 2.0 5 gb/s transfer rate.
If this is true why does my info state that I have a 2.0 express card?
Edit : sorry for so many questions but, I was just looking at the newer GTX 650 ti card with Kepler core with PCIe 3.0 Would this be backward compatible with my laptop ? And if yes, will there be any major noticeable downsides since I dont have 3.0 pcie?
Also what bandwidth restrictions will I have with my express card type ?
And would a card like 550 ti, HD 7770 or GTX 650 ti be complete over kill due to the bandwith limitations?
And lastly which modual should I be getting? the PE4H 2.4 or the PE4L 2.1 ?
Thanks much for help ^^ -
is anyone here ?

When did you buy the computer? It seems decently old and given 2011 was the first year laptops came with expresscard 2.0, yours is probably 1.0. In that case, A low end card would be your best bang for buck. Neweggs actually selling a 6670 for $40. Though if thats not powerful enough, a 6770 or 7770 probably wouldnt have any issue with bandwitdth. And having a high end card wouldn't make performance worse, it just wouldn't be as good as a low end card. Though if you want to think into the future and maybe when you buy a newer laptop, you'll thank yourself for buying a decent card now.
As for pci-e 3.0, that wouldn't change anything.
And again whether to choose the pe4h or pe4l, it depends on whether you're planning on upgrading laptops in the future. pe4h only supports 1.0, but getting pe4l now could save you the hassle later on.
Oh and I believe that pci express is your internal speed, not the expresscard speed. If you were to connect your e-gpu to you mpcie port than that would be 2.0
Hope this helps!
can I use any ati or nvida GPU ?
