there are so many adapters... what are the difference between them? PE4C, PE4H, PE4L etc... i am confused
-
for me, it looks the PE4C v3 is the newest and therefore probably the best? but i noticed the cable between the adapter and the mini pcie, on end of the cable is "soldered" to the adapter??

while on the PE4C v2.1, the cable is not soldered at any end... making it more convenient. but i don't know is it as good as PE4C v3??

I have just ordered the PE4C v2.1 and that is the one I am using right now, it appears to be working fine for me. the v3.0 is newer and better because it supports transfer rates up to 8gb/s instead of 5gb/s (Generation 3.0 vs 2.0), but my laptop is older and doesn't have Gen 3, so thats why I went for 2.1.
In hindsight however I should've gone with v3.0 anyway in case I get a new laptop that supports it :/
Now you need to figure out whether you will be using an expresscard, Pci-e, or thunderbolt cable (mac only) to hook up to your laptop, and order the right cable to come along with the product -
My laptop has mini pciE
how do I check which gen my laptop has? I don't even know if my mini pciE is comptaible with the eGPU adapters ... no reply in http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/diy-egpu-experiences.418851/page-1195
anyway PE4C v2.1 seems more flexible as the cable is removable at the eGPU adapter end right? in PE4C v3 .. it seems soldered.
What is the difference between PEAH, L, etc?? I don't understand how they are different.. some has better compatibility or performance? -
is the EXP GDC v8 a better choice? it is cheaper.. but dunno if it is as reliable??
difference between the different bplus eGPU adapters?
