Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to do an eGPU setup with apple thunderbolt display as the external monitor?

I have late 2013 macbook pro and apple thunderbolt display, if I do a eGPU setup, can I just plug it in to the thunderbolt port on the apple display instead of directly to the macbook? Will that work?

Also, my other question, what is the cleanest way to do an eGPU these days?

    Will this: (ASUS GTX670 mini)
Newegg.com - ASUS GTX670-DCMOC-2GD5 GeForce GTX 670 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready SLI Support Mini Small Form Factor Game Video Card

Work with Sonnet Echo Express as plug and play? Any help would be greatly appreciated
