I would like to transfer some files and settings from my old desktop (no DVD) to my M6811, and I found the WinXP Files and Settings Transfer Wizard. It looks like I'm not able to use it [ :(!] because I cannot use the restore DVD in my desktop, and I'm not sure it would have the WinXP installation screen anyway. And the option to create a Files and Settings Transfer Wizard disc on the M6811 is greyed out since there's no floppy drive. Is there any other way to use this wizzard, e.g. do you know of a site where it can be downloaded from?

I've used it over a network, on a CDR, a USB external hard drive and with a compact Flash card, and haven't encountered a problem yet. I've even used it to copy Win 98 SE settings, although it does ignore any not supported in both OS's.

    First PC = Vic-20, 8" 128KB Home-Brew Floppy Drive ... Current Rig = eMachines m6805 ... Quantum Leap?

I finally found FASTWIZ.EXE on the restore DVD and on the C: drive under bundle/support/tools. Funny thing is that it's in JAPANESE and won't run under my English WinXP version. I spent about an hour in the Gateway/Emachines support chat trying to explain the problem. The support guy finally promised that they will email an English version of the file ... that was 4 days ago ... still don't have it from emachines....

Does anyone else have a Japanese version or is it just me?
