    looking @ upgrading m6809 memory and notice some of the 1 gb sites have the low heat sodimm listed. is this necessary?

    No it is not, but if the pirce is only a few bucks more, go for it.
    I would still check and look at the specs of the low heat vs the regular memory and see how much less power it consumes.
