From looking at the PortableOne and ShopFujitsu websites, it seems that for the Fujitsu P7120, a 512mb RAM module costs $125-$150, and the 1gb RAM module costs around $900. Crucial.com didn't even carry any RAM modules for the Fujitsu P7120.
Is the $900 price for a 1gb RAM module normal? Or is it a temporary price spike, due to some short-term shortage?

You might see if SwissBit sells it. The large price is partly due to the obsurity of the form factor AND the small number of people that need/want that much RAM in a machine that small w/ such a (relatively) slow processor.

with that price you might as well get 2 gb ram from a store and put it in instead...

Call Ivan at P1 and see what's up. As noted though it's a very limited supply product which of course drives up the cost.

I know it's significantly later than this thread was started, but I went with adding 512MB ram to my P7120 nearly two years ago, but am trying to extend the life of my laptop right now. I came across http://www.memoryx.net/fulip7me7.html as compatible memory for the unit for less than $130.
I'm now trying to find out how to get at the second slot because I'd like to upgrade my machine to the max memory it will support, and would prefer to just by the ram all at once.
1gb Memory Module for Fujitsu P7120 is $900. Is this normal?
