Seeing as there seems to be a number of new s2110 owners on the board, I thought I'd fire off a question I've been mulling over for a while. I know the Turion 64 supports 400 Mhz DDR memory, and I'm pretty sure the ATI chipset does as well. So has anyone tried instally some 400 Mhz RAM in their 2100? I remember reading a Tom's Hardware or similar article where they swapped out the 333 DDR memory with 400 Mhz in a Turion ML laptop (Acer I think) to perform some tests, and it made me curious as to whether I could do the same.

Edit: I know that I could install 400 Mhz memory and run it at 333, my question is whether I could run it at 400 Mhz.

With the new generation of AMD CPUs with memory controllers built into them, the chipset no longer determines the max memmory speed. But you're right turion supports all the range upto 400MHz. So I guess it should work.

My N6010 shipped with 333MHz, and I knew that the chipset suported 400MHz. So when I was upgrading to 1GB I got them at 400MHz, and they do work. Although I saw no improvement over 333MHz :(

I guess Fujitsu just use the cheaper RAMs, since getting faster RAMs won't make such a great difference and it will save them a few $

Well, I managed to track down the article, here it is. Apparently they used a program called AMD 64 Tweaker to get their RAM running at 400 Mhz. Don't know how it will work with the 2110, but it's out there if anyone wants to try it.
