Wanted to know if anyone who owns the N3520 has had any major issues that may have carried over from all the complaint posts I've seen regarding it's predecessor, the N3510. I'm assuming there must be very few as there are only a handful of posts regarding the 3520 versus a couple of pages worth on the 3510.

Reason I ask is because I have included the newly revealed N3530 in my roundup of possible buys after researching and lurking these forums for the past couple of months. And since it is so new I thought that any issues with the previous version would give me an indication of what to look out for in the current one. I have narrowed the field to three possible candidates (the other two being the HP DV5000z and the Gateway MX6450) and am 2-3 weeks from making an actual purchase now. Any input you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

I am in exactly the same situation as you. The only thing holding me back from the N3530 is the weight 8lb!!! It is not big but heavy. Held the notebook at the local Fry's .. its beautiful but heavy...

I'm waiting to see if there is a E series revision... or else I am going ASUS A6J when I go back east.

Weight is not that much of a consideration for me. I am on the road a few months out of the year, but the furthest I ever have to lug it is through the airport and to and from my hotel room to whatever meeting I'm going to. Not like I have to tote it all over campus all day like a student would. So I can live with the extra weight, especially if it's due to superior build quality. Still really on the fence, though until I hear more about it.....
