I'm considering buying the Fujitsu 7020 with the 14" screen. The weight and price are both about right.

One question before I make a final decision...I noticed that the 7020 has 128MB shared video memory. Other computers have video cards, with 64 MB memory. I don't totally understand the difference here, but I would like to know if this will significantly slow down anything I plan to do. I don't play games, but I do use Photoshop and ArcMap. Will having shared video memory instead of a dedicated card affect those programs? What if I hook up an external monitor?

My other choice is the Asus Z33A, which has only one memory slot, so max RAM is 1.2GB. Which is more important, RAM or video memory?

    Thanks

Dedicated video RAM only matters in gaming. Well, not really, there are a few other uses, but gaming is #1 by a wide margin. The great Fujitsu display is as good a reason as any to pick it over the Asus.
