You can only upgrade the video card in MXM notebooks, which you'll pretty much only find from Sager (Clevo), Alienware, and Dell.
BTW, the Dell M1730 has the best LCD in any notebook on the market with 16.9 million colors, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a WUXGA (1920x1200) 17" LCD display, though the new Alienware m17x may use the same screen, especially since Dell (literally) owns Alienware so they're sort of like one company, except Alienware is has way better computers.

Oh yea who manufactures their (m1730) screen? I saw gateway was coming out with some notebooks with 8800m GTS(and X maybe). I heard they use Samsung.. samsung any good?

Samsung screens are known to have terrible light leakage; LG is known to make the best notebook screens. Dell gets their screens custom made from LG, Sony, Philips, and Samsung so you won't find the same screen as on the M1730 on other notebooks.
The new Gateway notebooks look really good, there's a thread about it (and an article on the homepage). -

The 6460 isn't meant to be a high end gaming laptop, it's meant to be a multi-media laptop, which makes the ATi perfect for it with better video and 2D charateristics.
For a gaming laptop the GF8800M is a better choice, but at the time of the N6460's launch the best laptop options were the SLi'ed GF7950s. So between the those I'd much rather have the HD2600 than a GF7 (the GF8600 is basically in the same class as the HD2600 for gaming).
It's only recently that the GF8800Ms have even been an option, so you just bought a little before your time if you were looking for a gaming laptop.
8800??
