I do not know if people know about this review. It is not fantastic, but might reveal some new things to the reader:

    Run1track,

Thanks for the link, interesting review. I think the performance of the S6210 is a little bit better nowadays due to the better components used.

The S6210 has a Pentium M 1.6GHz now with 512MB ram and a 5400rpm hard drive, I assume the tested unit had a slower 4200rpm hard drive,
256MB just don’t cut it anymore, especially with the integrated graphics solution.

I will order my S6210 in August after Fujitsu will hopefully release the S6220 and lower the prices for the current model.

I bet your enjoying your notebook [8D]

    Thanks for the link!

The review was for the S6210 Asian version, Singapore specifically.
here is the link to the product page
    http://www.pc-ap.fujitsu.com/products/lb_s6220.html
The spec are pretty much the same, excpet.
    1. No CV screen
    2. P-M 1.5 instead of 1.6
    3. Giagabit Ethernet (and I'm pissed, cuz we don't have that)
    4. IrDA (again, why on earth did Fujitsu take it out)
    5. 2 USB ports instead of 3
And here is the direct link to the spec page.

Freeman, you're upset about no IR port? I haven't used on in a long time. Aside from a PDA sync, what else do you use it for?

Yeah, you're one of the few it seems. Frankly, I'd rather not pay for legacy ports that I don't need, but I understand the value to you.

Hook up to some pcs phone for dial up. RemoteControl my TV, VCR, ReplayTV, DVD Player while I work on the notebook. Also at work, I have a HP printer that I can print via IR.
To me, that's enough reason to have an IR on my notebook.

    Hi All,
Well.. For Asia Pacific region, Fujitsu also includes a Port Replicator in each laptop beside gigabit, and irDa. I've got them when I purchased my lovely 6130.
BUT..... you won't regret the absence of those things if you check the price we have to pay to get the laptop [8D] - the difference is almost US$ 300-400 from North America region price.

    S6130-P1.4m, 256MB DDR 333, 40GB, CD RW/DVD, Gigabit, ir-DA, 2 USB, slim carrying case, port replicator, XP PRO, US$ 2000, US$ 1960 after bargaining, and I bought it when Fujitsu held a promo, so, I got cash discount US$ 100. Total: US$ 1860

Ouch, I can feel your pain, 256MB, 40GB, no DVD burner for almost $2K.
