Was wondering about the A6025 Lifebook with 1gig ram. Hard to find a good review on it anywhere, or review period. I would upgrade to 2 gig as soon as I got it. I was going to go with the A3130, but had to read about the A6025 first....
Hoping to get one of these two soon, (i'm mid semester and don't have time to get a new machine going...and learn my way around vista.)
    Any info would be great.
    thanks
    joe

I'm hoping to get info on the one with the 2.0gig core duo.

The A6025 has the same construction and case as the A6030, but the A6030 has better specs and the A6205 lacks the touchpad write feature. Other than that they are the same. I think if you look at the reviews for the A6030 you'll get a good feel for it. I think Cnet had a review of the A6025. I was actually was considering the A6025 when it was being offered at NewEgg for $650, but they ran out when I wanted to buy. Since I don't need a lot of performance and I got such a good deal on the F560, I decided to go with that instead.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Do you think because the 6025 is not a core2duo, it wouldn't be as powerful, or quick, as the 3130? Or do you think the Coreduo is close enough...? or better?
I know the ram is slower, prob wouldnt notice........but they both have lots of features and being a college student, albeit i'm 36, fujitsu gives another 5% off....and i'm getting fujitsu reliability which is huge...this is why i want to buy a fujitsu...
And write pad, I wouldnt choose the pen option w/the 3130 anyway.
with that said, what do you think??

I think performance wise they will be similar. Without know what you plan to do with it, it's kind of hard to know.

Whichever one you get, I would recommend at least 2GB ram. There is a big difference in my opinion if you are running 1gb vs 2gb with Vista.

Thanks, So if I put 2gig in the 6025, the core duo, will match up to the turion 64x2? I thought it was the core2duo that smoked turion.....

    thanks

I wouldn't know if the Core Duo would match up with the Turion 64X2 unless someone ran benchmark tests. However, Core2Duo > Turion in my opinion.

There is a new affordable Fujitsu line coming out soon too, but I don't think it will be too much cheaper than an A6025.

    Thanks....
I should just just suck it up and get the A3130...it has everything I need, I won't have to add a thing....
I really won't consider too many other models. A unit can look like dog crap, I'm after reliability....so that's why I want a fujitsu....
Thing is I don't want to miss out on the rebate...but i was hanging in there till my semster ends in December...
    It'll be 999.00 - 5% (student discount)....so not to bad.
It's a shame Toshiba couldn't get their act together...they just released the
2nd generation A215's knowing that they "blank out" and need to be restarted...I did like that line alot...but screw em, I'll take fujitsu's quality.
