My first post... I bought 2 months ago Amilo 1667 AMD 64 Mobile Athlon 4000+/2GB RAM/X700... The temperature for CPU is always 50° C... I think that hardware has not the feature to show the real temperature... is it right? I use Everest or SpeedFun to measure them..
Also, is it normal to have 42° C average on my HD? I have replaced the 100GB 4200rpm FSC 8MB cache with the 100GB 5200rpm Toshiba (MK1032GAX)16MB cache...
The issue is that after an hour, it is problematic to work with it...![]()

i have the same model and the temperature stay always at 50 too. i'm with the original 100gb FSC hdd and it cam reach 55 during intensive workI don't know what the problem is with this heat either, sorry ? but you temperature is better with your toshiba as I see
I'm going to replace the memory with DDR400 soon, and i want to replace the hdd too. do you have the hdd specs of your new one? -

Same here - I have FSC Amilo 1667G with 1.8GHz AMD Turion CPU and it always shows 50°C everywhere I checked - no matter if it was running idle@800MHz (battery mode) or full load@1800MHz (AC Power).
