Amilo A1630 vista support

Fujitsu have told me they will not be supporting the a1630 for vista as they say it doesn't meet min specs ( i can confirm that it does so does microsofts compatabilty tool ) why are fujitsu so rubbish when it come's to end user support?? my machine is only 10 months old(2 months left on warrenty) and fujitsu are saying they won't support it on the new vista os, i thought a machine that was 3700+ 2.4ghz,1gb ram 160gb h/d and 128mb graphics was more than enough, considering most of the laptops in the shops that say they are vista compatable are of a lower spec what going on!!!
sorry for ranting on but it's really pi**ed me off.

 

HI, i own a amilo l 1310g its an average lap, 1.6ghz with 512mb ram and ati x200m while checking for updates at the official FSC site another user with same laptop as mine was interesed in upgrading to vista. the rep their asked if there was vista logo on his laptop.if there was no prob but if not he should try downloading a vista upgrade advisor from their website to find out for sure. well i tried it and my laptop is able to support the business edition and yesterday double checked with the latest vista upgrade advisor and its still good. my laptop is older than yours almost 1.5 years.

 

well it goes to show how well fujitsu know there laptops i have loaded windows vista ultimate and it runs perfectly no stutters and wasn't slow either (fujitsu said it couldn't be done ) but now it's even faster again (fujitsu said it wasn't possable to support 2gb ram ) but i downloaded the latest bios 1.05 and put in 2gb ddr pc2700 in 2x1gb sticks and it works perfectly, so i now have a Amilo 3700+ 2.4ghz,160GB h/d,256mb graphics,and 2GB RAM super fast now!!!!!!
