    Amilo M1437G & XP Pro

    Can XP Pro be installed on the 1437g. I heard It has a partition for the instant on thing, and the HDD is sata? Does this make it more difficult?

    Also, if anyone has this machine, I am interested if you have managed to improve the battery life or buy a second battery.

    Also, how's the weight - light enough to carry around occasionally?

    You can upgrade to Pro, the hardware or special boot partitions don't matter. I wouldn't reformat though unless you have all of the software you need.

    I have an XP pro CD. What options do I have for upgrading from this - I don't really care about keeping the silly instant cd player but want to keep any important software/drivers?

    Just insert it and install from the auto run. It will just upgrade home.
