    Amilo PI 1505 Just One Memory Slot?

    I have just purchased an Amilo PI 1505 which was quite reasonable for the specification. I went for the 512MB ram model hoping that I could simply add another RAM Dimm to increase the memory to 1024MB. However I think it only has one RAM slot unless I am not looking hard enough as this is my first notebook. Are my only options to buy a 1024MB dimm as the machine is just fitted with one 512MB dimm but it only looks like it has one slot. I cannot find a detailed manual or specifictions for this laptop yet anyone any advice please?

    Edit: I must admit that I have only looked underneath the easily removeable panel on the bottom of the laptop as I did not know where else to look?

    I have found some information about this and this laptop does have 2 ram dimm slots, I have found the easy one just dunno where the other is! Why did they not put the 512MB dimm in the hidden slot and leave the easy one for me to get at :rolleyes:

    The other memory slot for the notebook is under the keyboard. Its not a very good place to put the slot, but it is still there. The below link should direct you to a place with some information.

    On the left side, click on "notebooks". Then select "Amilo Series" from the drop down menu. A second menu should appear. On there select "Amilo PI Series". A third menu will appear. On there select "Pi 1505". You will be directed to the technical details on the notebook. If you scroll down the page, you should see a few pictures, illustrating the second RAM slot. There should also be some information on how to change the RAM. Hope this helps.

    Thanks very much for your help that answers the question, very much appreciated. I just have to figure out how to get to it now, I am assuming that it is the same method as an earlier thread on here states for a different type of Amilo laptop. Thanks again :)

    edit: sorry I noticed that there is a link that shows how to change the second ram dimm from the information supplied, thanks Zero great link :)
