Lately I've been having some problems with my notebook. When starting a game the notebooks shuts down alltogether (after a couple of seconds). Doesn't mather what os I use (both linux and windows).
When I turn the laptop back on, I have no screen, it doesn't even show the BIOS startup. However, the laptop boots up fine, I can even VNC (remote desktop viewer) into it and everything is fine, except for having no screen.
After having turned down the laptop for more then an hour or so, the screen returns.
I get the same problem when I just try to reboot after using the laptop: no screen.
Does anyone know what could be wrong with my laptop?

I think that your Amilo Pi 1556 overheats. I have the problem with my Amilo Pi 1556, the video card fails very often and I get patters on the screen. I suppose that it might be caused by overheating...
