One more question, I am getting close to purchase one of the Amilo PI laptops. I would like to know what you think of the Amilo PI series build quality? It seems to me that the silver paint job (particularly on the wrist pads around the keyboard) is is easy to scratch. Does it fade or peel off with use particularly that I noticed the Amilo series tends to heat up around the keyboard even when it is idle. Hey Fujitsu, what was wrong with black and dark grey?

I think it will be built okay. The build quality on my notebook is quite good, and it seems very sturdy, and strong, but that may be because it is a quite a big 17" model. It might be useful if you can go see the notebook in person. That way you can get a better idea of what it feels like.

I have seen the XI 1546 and the PI 1536 in person. The 1556 just has different internals. I am particularly worried about the paint and the emitted head. It looks to me easily scratched or can wear out with the emitted heat. I would like to know from somebody who has been using these laptops for a few months, do they turn ugly after a few months of normal use? Also, do these heated wrist bads become really annoying after a couple of hours of use?
