Hi guys.
What has happened is that my laptop wont boot, when i press the power button (with or without the a/c adapter) the power light comes on and sometimes the fan light comes on and goes off again straight away. And then nothing shows on the screen at all it just stays black. And it is like the laptop is dead. but if i hit the laptop on the underside sometimes it will boot up normally. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?
Thanks in advance

open up the ram and hdd bays and re seat them (removed them then put them back in) Seems like you have a loose connection somewhere and those two things are the easiest to test first.
Did the laptop have a fall?
If yo have a service manual and you are confident in what you do you can open it and check the other wires and plugs.
I had opened my P7120 and did not put the keyboard cable back in properly, the laptop would not boot, just the power lights flash. once i re seated it it booted fine. -
I have had exactly the same problem with my pi 2515 except the fan light does not come on - the disk light does though. I would be interested to know if you found a solution to this problem

Just got my Amilo Pi2515 back from a repairer. They didn't really identify the problem but said it was probably the motherboard, which they could get for £180 plus £70 for fitting. I guess this is not really worth it - I have seen several people with the same problem (on the internet) , so it could happen again even with a new motherboard. I guess I won't be buying any more Fujitsu- Siemens laptops again !
Amilo Pi 2515 doesn't boot up
