Anyone know the Administrator password?

I don't know the default "administrator" password of my P7010, anyone know?

 

There is no default admin password. You specify that when setting up XP.

 

I don't exactly remember is there any question to ask me for the administrator password when I first start up the notebook.
But I am sure I have try all possible password that I often use, still can't login as administrator.
Is there any method can reset the administrator password?
I have another administrator account that I currently using.
My notebook is the original OS, Win XP Home

 

I assure you, Fujitsu does not set the Admin password, it's an XP thing that gets set when you configure it. If you don't know it, you'll have to re-install. I assume you're not able to delete that account?

 

I can't see the administrator account in the xp home. So I can't delete it.

you have another administrator account but you can't see the administrator account so you can't delete the administrator account, please take a look at your post and see if that makes any sense.

 

Control Panel --> User account, no account call "administrator" in Windows xp Home. But I can see some user accounts, such as Tony, Father etc.
But in Windows XP, there must be an account called "administrator", isn't it?

When you look in the control panel at the user accounts, under the name, you'll see either Adminstrator (could be called Computer Administrator), limited, or guest. The user that has the title Administrator is the admin account.

 

like brian said, my administrator account is called andy-san, it doesn't have to be called administrator

your administrator account name will be whatever you entered as your name when you first started up your lappy.

 

Mine came with the default account as 'owner'. I too had XP home, but that was more than a year ago. They may have changed it since then. I can't check because I wiped the HDD and put on XP pro.

 

Right click on my computer go to manage. then a window will pop up. go to local users and groups folder. then into users, then you will see the username list right click on administrator and select reset password.

Xp normaly has a username named administrator. It doesnt show up on the log in screen you can only log in as it if you select the old style login where you have to type the user name kinda like the domain login for a network. its always there in case you need to log into admin XP always has an admin account.

But your method only work on Professional version, my Home edition didn't got users and groups folder.

 

Hmm i dont use home edition much only pro. when you get to the manage window what are the option there are no users group or anything at all?


OK home edition may not have a dedicated administrator named account. I have looked it up and and there is no way to edit the users and groups like in pro edition. sorry couldnt help you more.

can you switch to the old style login for xp home? i would guess that password is blank if there is a administrator account. Did you install the OS or was it a factory installed image.

 

Administrator is a status in WinXP. You can give "Johny Bravo" an admin status, but "Sponge Bob" a guest status.

Based on your question, you're looking for a dude named "Administrator" with an administrator status. If you haven't done anything since you receive your notebook, your admin is called "Owner".

Should you lose the password and if you never give windows a hint question, then you option is to reinstall windows or use a software called Winternals ERD Commander, which has a locksmith capability.

 

why would you need a dedicated administrator account when you are the administrator?

i have never seen an XP home system with a dedicated admin account, because there is no point.

 

I need an "Administrator" account because I have asked another question previously about the Ominipass, in which some friends here suggest me to try "Administrator".
